MAK Jobs is currently recruiting a Transport Planner on behalf of our client based in Daventry.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 18:30 (40 hours per week), with overtime required based on operational needs.

Salary: £12.21 - £15.23 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

•  Develop a thorough understanding of transport and client requirements.

•  Respond professionally to client and transport customer service queries via email and telephone.

•  Identify and plan optimal routes and modes of transportation, considering the nature of goods.

•  Arrange transport in a timely manner to meet customer KPIs.

•  Obtain, prepare, issue, and verify transportation documents.

•  Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues and clients.

•  Administrative tasks.

Candidate Requirements:

•  PC literate with proficiency in Windows Office suite, experience using inventory systems.

•  Strong customer service orientation with a professional approach.

•  Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

•  Reliable timekeeping and punctuality.

•  Adaptability to evolving contract requirements and willingness to support across departments and contracts.

•  Proven experience in transit management, particularly involving export shipments and hazardous goods.
